Acknowledgements

Daniel S. Cooper, Director of Bird Conservation for Audubon California from 2001 – 2005, published the Important Bird Areas of California book in 2004. He began working on the book in 2001 after the founding of the IBA program in California in the 1990’s by Dr. Meenaskshi Nagendran, Bob Barnes, and Kathy Gilbert.
